The Close chairs, benches and lounges by Arco are as comfortable as they look. But that’s not all, because the Dutch manufacturer emphasises sustainability and transparency. After all, more and more people are asking about the origin and material composition of products – and quite rightly so. At Arco, every product is given a ‘Product Eco Passport’, which can be viewed online on the product page. This provides a clear overview of the material composition and its weight proportions in a product as well as of the Arco sustainability logos and certificates.

The original Close was designed by Icelandic designer Gudmundur Ludvik, who wanted a chair that was as comfortable as it looked. To this end, he developed a backrest that follows the curve of the spine.
